My wife and I camped at Fields Spring State Park for a couple of nights on our return from Colorado a couple weeks ago. The drive thru the Blue Mountains in OR & WA was beautiful getting there. We left there to go to Palouse Falls, coming up on top the plateau, in early morning. When we came to Asotin I stopped the car for a minute to admire the way the town was nestled on the opposite side bluff.  As we came into town we were surprised at how well-kept every yard was and the obvious community pride.

“We needed ice and stopped at Nomnom. Although we had plenty of camp food in our car, the 3 friendly ladies inside had biscuits and gravy to start the morning right. While we were eating in the car, a doe and fawn trotted from the river up the street south. Did I think to video them with my phone? Too mesmerized. I told my wife we’d found the most idyllic little town in WA. We enjoyed Palouse Falls and made it home to Maple Valley well before dark.

If opportunity presents, please pass on my compliments to the splendid people of your community. I love it when folks are really good at living life!  We will come to SE WA again!”

Valuing safety, stewardship, and planned growth while harnessing community pride, Asotin provides unmatched quality for residents, businesses and visitors.
