Starting in the fall of 2015 the Asotin Wastewater Treatment Facility, went through, upgrades replacing equipment that was installed in 1976 well past its useful life.
These improvements allow the plant to be more cost effective to operate, safer and better for the environment by protecting the waters of the State.
The entire City Staff and the City Council of Asotin work hard every day to operate the Wastewater Treatment Facility to the best of our ability, winning several Outstanding Performance awards for the Operations of a Wastewater Treatment Facility, from the State of Washington Department of Ecology.
